Preparing for the Big Operation

Pattern on Nobu's throat: white with black speckling
I happened on a blog of a family who are fostering a golden retriever, and just happened to read the blog entry which describes the day he has his operation. There's a very real picture of the dog's  removed testicles, which made me sad... One big difference to Nobu's situation is that we can't walk home together, I have to drive him home in the car, which he hates. At any rate today he's having bloodwork done, and a general check-up to make sure he's healthy and the timing's right. I also need to ask if it's okay for him to have the annual rabies shot in April with other dogs, since he had it only last December when he came to our place.
